You do actually inspire us, I really value your loyalty. Your versions of ‘Angle’ are both creative and purposeful. I respect the way that you have developed the ideas beyond what me and Chris would have imagined. And in the end that is the reason why we opened the idea to you. Sneaker Pimps is alive and wonderful. Me and Chris are perfecting the 4th LP in Berlin in Jan and Feb. Keep the faith! Give it another angle Post date: May 23rd, 2005 The Sneaker Pimps are currently in London recording their first 5.1 studio albums, "BecomingX" and "Splinter", due for release this Autumn. The 2 DVDs, to be released on One Little Indian, will be distributed worldwide. In addition to the original track listing, those DVDs will feature all sorts of extras: additional tracks like "Velvet divorce" and "Firestarter", instrumentals, old footage, photos, press clips, original lyric books, ... Finally, the Sneaker Pimps are launching a competition: "Give it another angle". "Angle" was a demo that the lads never finished. Liam thought it might be an interesting idea to give it to "UTF" and see if you, fans, can make a song out of it. Sample it, chop it, etc and make it the hidden "Becoming X" tune that never got finished. The best mix/cover will be released over the DVD ! Deadline is end of July 2005. Please send your tracks @ webmaster@sneakerpimps.be [find all the information over here]. 5.1 Surround Sound Post date: March 17th, 2005 Liam and Chris are embarking on a project to re-present the albums "Becoming X" and "Splinter" in 5.1 surround sound. They will be working from the original tapes whilst adding and revamping, pushing the old classics into a new era. It has even been suggested that Splinter will be entirely revocalled by Chris to bring a brand new quality to it. The packages will be accompanied by visuals and extras. Mutation Post date: January 01st, 2005 The latest mutation of Sneaker Pimps is nearing completion. Please start saying your fond farewells to Bloodsport and await the dawn of a new era.
